Seen that not alot of people use illustrator when making logos etc and im wondering why?
I hate seeing pixels in company logos and theres a few websites on sythe that have non vector images and its horrible to work with then enlarging them for threads etc.
Is it because people dont have illustrator or purely because they think photoshop is the superior program?

It's because not a lot of people here make logos to begin with. I hate it when people use the terms logo and signature interchangeably, ugh. The majority of 'graphics designers' here just downloaded a few packs and magically learned graphics design.

You're supposed to use illustrator whenever you're making something like a logo because vector images don't pixelate when you scale them.
