My opinion is still undecided :S

 

False - how does one know when the earth will end if it even was to end.

 

I say it's false. It's just a half-baked thought that became popular to talk about. Now, uneducated people are starting to think about this. When uneducated people think, nothing good is to come.

I personally believe it's not going to happen any time soon. I don't even believe in an apocalypse to begin with.

 

False, There's been past predictions that the earth will end in other years, Those are in the past and this will be also.
Earth has been around for a very long time, Why now? False.

 

Well i watched a documentary on this 2012 thing, and they seemed to have scientific evidence

idk about 2012, but i believe that there will be an apocalypse - everything has an end.

 

lol beast, how do you scientifically prove something that hasn't happend yet? That is what you call 'theory' (they make assumptions based on things they think are real)

The 2012 Theory is false. Why would world Happend to end on "2012'...I really want more evidence on thos theory.

 

Beast, about you watching a documentary about the 2012. How could they have specific evidence? How do you know that they aren't wrong( People who made that video) How do you know they didn't say that to scare people?

 

Our only apocalypse is when the Sun devours our planet at the end of its cycle. I don't believe in the hellfire and brimstone theory.

I am not saying false, but im not saying true.
At the rate things are going in this world it is possible for the world to end within the next 50 years. On the Sky Documentary channel, I watched a show which gave evidence that their is a meteor that could highly likely hit the earth within this 50 year period. Whether or not you believe in Global Warming and Climate change, at the rate things appear to be going, we could reach a stage where the earth is unable to support life. Another crisis is the oil availability problem, it is possible that a decent alternative fuel is NOT found and we will run out of this resource, thus the possibility of our planet turning into utter chaos. A Christian biblical reference is that at the end of the world, or 'Doomsday' supposedly God will come down and accept those who have turned to him into heaven (not really sure of the exact details), and you may not be religious, but whos to say that the Mesoamerican calender didn't have valid reasoning behind the prediction?
The wars happening all over, rumours that countries are secretly devloping nuclear weapons, and so much more. All of this could lead to the end of the world, but whether or not in 2012, I'm not sure, just don't be so quick to shut down the possibility of an apocalypse any time soon...

All other prophecy's failed to predict the end of the world. Just because a calendar ends at a certain date does not mean the world also have too, a regular calendar ends after 12 months but nothing happens.

Also if there was a planet to collide on Earth, it would have been seen by now.

 

I'm not sure if you remember the Dark Ages, but they had many, many more issues than those you listed. Look where we are today, centuries later.

Who's to say the calender didn't have valid reasoning? I am to say. To have valid reasoning, you have to have proof. I see no proof. This is going to work like the United States Judiciary Branch, it is up to the plaintiff to provide evidence to support their case, not the defendant.

The Rapture? That is highly irrelevant.

 

Everything what begans must has its end. It means world and our live too we just dont know when , it can be tommorow or 200 years later. nobody knows and will know. tha'ts it

 

This is in the SFA? Come on, does anyone actually believe in this? The Mayan calendar has to end somewhere...and why is that even a reliable source? How would they know when the world's going to end? The world's end has been predicted countless times, by many relgions, and it never came. It's embarassing to talk about this in anything other than a joking manner.

 

Anything is possible I suppose; those predicted events could fall on 2011 for all we know. 2012 could be just another year, or it could be the end of the world, or anything in between. What's the use in arguing?

By the way, the predicted day is December 23rd, not 21st.
