Where can I learn phpbb programming?

I am already very very good with the phpbb software and have been on a few support teams and no I'd like to step it up and learn phpbb programming?

Is there anyplace that I can go to learn?

 

Phpbb = Php bulletin board. It's not a coding language. Learning PHP is the language you'd use. XML and SQL is also a good idea to learn for any website's forum.

 

Bring me basically summed it up pretty nice. Phpbb is coded in php and uses mysql.

 

I wanna learn how to make mods. Is this possible?

Well from what I have been told, you don't need to be a programmer to install them, only to make them.

 

There is plenty of ready-to-install scripts you can download and upload to your server for your forum. But if you want to make your own from scratch, you will need some PHP knowledge. A lot of people i know learn some basic php and string together other scripts to make their own.

Google is the best place to go for tutorials.

You should go through the posts in order, starting with the ones in PHP BASIC.

I agree with blind, that's where i learned.

 

PHP is very simple...... I know basic PHP and can do basic shit... Obviously.... If you have any programming experience at all its really simple.
