    toughening knuckles?

    Looking for good adive on how to strengthen knuckles - in the sense of contact - hurts for the reciever but less damage for me.

    Also what muscle group is the primary force behind a jab?

    Well i would say the main muscle groups would be your deltoids (shoulder), trapezius (upper back region), wrist flexors (lower arms) and tricep brachii

    Im planning on wrapping rope around my tree and hitting it.
    read that sand in a bowl is good too.

    Gonna go do some pectorial fly tomorow and the reverse also.
    My forearms are fucking sensitivee and the only thing I know that feels like something is happening is darbell curls. Might increase the weight also.

    Go to the beach and punch the sand. Also using a stress ball the whole day is a good exercise to strengthen the muscles in your hand.

    Get a punching bag, or just punch the wall I do that but make sure you don't do it a lot, i poped my knuckle once doing it but they do gte tougher.

    Practice punching holding weights. Your punches will become more powerful and faster.

    your just gonna have to put in an effort. its not gonna be quick, get a hard punching bag and just keep working on that. if i can remember ill ask my teacher bout the jap :p

    thanks for supported - my gym membership ran out yesterday so im gonna be working on sand and weighted punches ;)

    advice on forearms would be helpful now i have no muscle on the outer bone of my arm - ie when your typeing - the bones facing away from you.
    I read holding an olympic bar and just movin your wrists up and dwn will help this 9hard to explain lol)

    Another tip I learned when I used to do Karate is. When you are punching drop your weight down through your knees. That way you pack a harder punch onto them and you don't feel as much shock.

    It's kinda' different for everyone. Some people do not feel pain, and some do.
