User's able to locked own threads.

I don't know why, but i see so many of these around sythe...
People that usually ask questions, get massive's amounts of feedback from other members of the community... but when there problems are solved, they normally just edit their post to say "lock this thread please"... And yet, i notice that some people are still posting in these topics...

Could it be possible for user to have a lock feature to ONLY their threads?

DUDE if we done that it wouldn't be a forum!

A Forum is a gavering where people discuss and share information, not just post a thread and make them read it!

sure there is a delete option, but that wouldn't be very good if everyone deleted their thread after that they got thier answear, cause then nobody else would learn from it if someone let's say asked a question about how to do something, then he deletes it when he got his answear... it's better if others could still read the question and the answear...

Nice idea, it would be perfect to lock u own topic, else people keep spamming in it, even if you sold it.

For once, I agree with Finn. If people want a Thread locked, ask a Mod.

I personally think threads that haven't been posted in for at least 2 weeks should be automatically locked because I swear so many newfags grave dig things from like March.

I think we should do it like this :

People who got over 400 posts... Get priveleges to lock their own thread. I think its possible to make an simple new group and add them the permissions to lock their thread. I know its possible.. Altough i never used Vbulletin so dont flame me when im wrong :p

    Rate my Sub- idea :)

    Kind Regards,
    Roy

    I just got an other sub-idea :p
but I bet it's not possible.. but anyway, it might be..
there should be a button like that "report post" button but instead it's a "request lock" buttun, that only the starter of the thread sees and when the starter clicks it, then the mods sees in some way which thread have been requested to lock... probobly it wont work but... whatever, it would be good...

posts count doesn't mean anything. There are people who have almost 200 posts and joined Monday. If they went in that direction, they'd have to be somewhere closed to 1000 posts IMHO.
