Questions i have about buying OSRS accs.

I've been looking for a acc to buy. Sorry if im not writing in a right place, im really new here. I have a lot of questions, so to start off, as i've understood, its not the site thats selling the acc's, but the people, so how can one be sure they wont be scammed? How to know what is the acc's name and that its not a bot name (eg. ''ahyujmnk'')? How will the acc information be transfered to me? Will i get the acc email;email pass? Its really confusing and im expecting someone to help me go through these questions Thanks!

You should expect to be scammed if you are buying an account from a newcomer or someone you don't deem trustworthy. It is very easy for original owner to recover a runescape account. I guess you should ask the owner of the account. But you will always be able to change the RSN of the account, so won't be a big problem.

I would suggest using a middle-man (a person who holds the payment until the account details has been changed (email, pass etc.), and you confirm that everything on the account is correct (ban meter, untradeables, quests, skills). The most normal way to communicate on sythe is via skype.

Some people have throwaway emails that comes with the accounts, but usually, they will change the registered email to yours. And yes, you will get the password, and as you have the registered email you will have no problem with changing it.

 

1) You can't be sure that you won't be scammed, most people would advise that you stay away from newcomers or anyone highly reputable.

2) Ask for a picture of the account's ban meter to check if it's received botting related offenses. If you're using a middleman they can verify with you that the account is fine with you.

3) The seller of the account can either:

- Give you the registered email and you can proceed to change the passwords yourself

- You log onto the account and click the "change password" and "change registered email" options then the seller will send you a link in which you can change the information.

 

I would advise you not to buy an account UNLESS the seller is very trusted on Sythe (join date/vouches/donor status). Feel free to PM me if you're not sure whether a specific seller is trusted or not.
