User Education is Failing...

User education is a decently active forum, yet nothing is really being done. I just want to state; Pen this is not a direct attack at you nor am I putting you down.
There is so much to be done in UE such as; guides worthy of being accepted to the UE guides forum, no UE's are promoted anymore, applications should be brought back, there have been tens of reported ripped guides and none are banned and removed yet, the UE's which are on the team rarely do anything other then Rawr and R33l, the help & requests section gets filled with posts which would not be categorized there aren't closed and people post on them (spamming), not one UE has created a guide in God knows how long, nothing is compelling members to be active in UE, Pen is on but rarely does much in UE, and lastly I think someone who has shown activity should be promoted to the position such as R33l or Rawr or anyone more active.
Maybe we should bring back application, maybe we should reinstate the one guide per 2 weeks for UE's, maybe we should recreate the voting for applications and maybe we should add more UE's.

I'm doing this because UE is one of my favorite sections and something should be done there. It's just my feedback, thanks for reading .

 

Thanks Finn. I posted it as a dispute/feedback but your right. I agree, something along the lines of a moderator or someone wo is active daily should run the UE section, as it does require a lot of work and attention.

 

i kind of agree. but no, Apps are not being brought back. there would be too many useless guides and spam if that happened. and staff already said no anyways.

 

That is an opinion. There is really no factual evidence to support your statement.

What you are saying is that all of the Guides being made in the UE right now are great. So all future Guides in the UE will be useless and Spam. I assure you that I can go into the UE right now and find 5-10 Guides that are 'crap', per se, which flaws your statement.

Whether the Apps are brought back or not, it will not change the quality of Guides so much to an extent to be frowned upon, as there are already some low quality Guides existant.

Now, as for Finn's suggestion, I've thought about that myself for a while. With how active Rawr Im Phat and R33l2r3al are in the UE, I was quite astonished when they were shunned and Pen was brought back from the 'Black Hole'. Pen had been Demoted as an Admin, and left the site without caring a thing about it anymore, as he had, well, left.

He comes back then out of nowhere and is Promoted to a Moderator Position. This made absolutely no sense to me, because Moderators are supposed to be caring about the site. No, I'm not trying to say anything bad about Pen really, but just how I feel that Rawr Im Phat or R33l2r3al were more deserving, as they have been active for a very long time.

Perhaps a User Education Sectional Moderator, such as The Dark was at one time, can be reimplemented into the User Education so that the very much needed help can be given to the Section. I guess we can take this over to discussion now. We'll see how it works out.

 

Pen is doing a non existent job.

Both Rawr and R33l need to take his place in some way shape or form.

 

Yeah and Pen hasn't been doing much and so little that I barely see R33l or Rawr anymore.

 

uhm. i did not actually say that at all.. 1 some of the guides suck right now also. but im saying if apps were brought back kids would make pointless guides just to try and get a rank.

 

And then they would get denied in the application voting, it's very simple.

edit: @Analog: I have requested new User Educators a few weeks ago. It's up to the current administration to add them.

 

Ok that's good Pen. But I do think that you need a moderator to assist you when your not on this way all the stuff I mentioned can get done. Thanks Pen.

It still won't help it =/. You need ANOTHER drastic makeover for it to have any effect.

As I said on the other thread, I know there is a significant portion of moderating that is OUT of Pen's control, and that is fine. It just seems that Pen is inactive, atleast when he doesn't appear online sythe for over 3 days. It's just been nearly a month, with little to no change. I agree with Finn that a secondary UE mod would be nice, and ANY of the current UE's would be fantastic in my opinion. I just hope that if a secondary mod is considered, it isn't someone from outside the UE.

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I have been thinking this for about a month now, and I never wanted to go against the system... Thought I would be killed... But anyways... The section needs help... :/

 

OMG, I did not say that. I even said that it wasn't an attack on you, but simply that with the Suggestion of Finn, you could probably use a HUE Sectional such as The Dark was at one time.

actually yes you did, you do not know who much Pen has done for Sythe. and he actually DOES deserve a remodding, even if he had left.

and sorry. i wouldn't be talking. you said your "Gay" which i infact do not believe. and i feel you did a little ass kissing as well. and there was way more people that deserved mod than you.

Actually, no I didn't.

What I was saying was that I found it weird that Pen came from this 'Black Hole', or out of nowhere, and became a Moderator again. As for R2R and R.I.P. have been working very hard to keep the UE Section in order, and they were not rewarded for all of their loyalty and hard work after all this time.

I don't think there is any moderating which Pen can't do within the forums...
But, I do agree that it should be someone inside of UE.
