I 110% think they should brings apps back. so that way the HUE(s) know its fair if they give someone a UE Rank.

and anybody who makes lame threads, will be temp banned, and if they do it again they should be perm banned.

I disagree...the UE apps would just encourage more shitty guides on the USG section, and that's the last thing we need. But meh.

 

No I used to be a UE, and I thought that people got in only because they didn't want to vote differently then the majority.

Since the very second you came to the site, all you've wanted to do was become a UE. I don't know why, or understand this concept. On day 2 of you being here, you already had 33-34 posts A DAY. You already have over 80 posts, and you just joined a few days ago. Quit spamming.

And of course you would like Applications back, because then you can just write up some 2 second Guides, that are useless to anyone, for they had not been requested.

I DO NOT think that applications should come back, and you're basically judging The Dark's powers, and his intellectual prowess. The Dark will make whoever deserves to be a UE, a UE. Don't mess with the power he has, for that is why the HUE is considered a Mod now. If you bring back applications, then that's 1 less power that the HUE has really, and could create more drama between the HUE and his/her UE's.

That's just my outlook on the whole perspective.

They weren't considered mods. They were considered to be simply people who could lock/move/edit posts. After Six, all we could do was that, modcp features were inaccessible. We couldn't see staff lounge, and we didn't have a colored name.

Only recently were those given out.

 

They were still able to moderate their forum, making them moderators in my eyes.

Not a very good comparison... middlemen are out there stopping people getting scammed. User educators make guides to help people. You shouldn't need a rank to want to help people.

I vote no, because people will just guide whore them all just for the rank. The system we have now, makes it to where if we think the people really actually want to join, they might. I think the system we have right now is perfectly fine.

 

I say it should be a little of both, like every month, one person will be accepted via apps, and one person via invite. It shouldn't rely solely on apps or invites.

Voting was biased back then when the team was a group of whores. But now I like to think otherwise.

To finalize, the application system causes more problems that it fixes. And the fact that if it's not broken, it does not need fixing. The current system works 100% by reference. This way only the people who get in are picked by the people who are intelligent enough to make an educated decision. User Educators can suggest new additions to the team, and from then on the reviewing process goes on.
I Don't want anyone feeling the only way to get into the team is to impress me. A good UE team candidate impresses everyone.
