    Boat Help

Hi guys, I just need a bit of help with my dinghy. ONLY POST IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT OR HAVE A DECENT IDEA THAT YOU THINK MAY HELP ME. DON'T WASTE MY TIME WITH UNEDUCATED RESPONSES!

IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BUT NEED MORE INFO ON THE BOAT SPECS AND WHAT EVER THEN GOOGLE LASER PICO OR VISTS THE LASER WEBSITE!

First off, the boat is a Laser Pico. I recently purchased a mylar race sail for the boat, but the problem is that the pocket on the sail that the carbine on the head of the jib is intended to go through is at the wrong height. When I put the carbine through the pocket and clip it onto the metal ring on the mast, the carbine twists and the pocket of the sail forces it to open. The carbine then slips down and hooks onto the pocket of the sail. Its not so much of a problem when the wind is light, but its eventually going to rip the pocket of the sail. Any suggestions? I really need some ideas for hardware I could use to rectify this aswell. I have thought about internal halyards with a small block on the metal ring( the boat currently doesn't have a Jib halyard, you just clip the jib onto the mast before you raise it), or just a swivel gate carbine to it won't open on its own, but I'm really not sure.
    Thanks!
