Should I get a new TV/monitor or a projector?

So my TV is about to take a shit on me. It's old and small so I'm not worried about fixing it.

Basically, I have about $400 (preferably less) to spend on a new TV/computer monitor. I play a lot of games and have a large collection of TV shows and movies, so 1080p and an HDMI connector are mandatory. I'd prefer some composite (red yellow white) connectors too, but I can always get some adapters. Maybe 30+ inches if it's a screen, I don't know yet.

Try and pick ones from sites like Tigerdirect.com, or any big retailers such as Fry's electronics, CompUSA, Walmart, and Best Buy.

I'll post a few of the ones I've been looking at shortly, and thanks for any suggestions.
