    Percent increasing?

you first change the percent value to decimal value
in order to do this, divide percent number by 100
    25/100 = .25
    now multiply that by 8
    8 X .25 = 2

    there is increase of 2

    Percent increasing?

    8/100% = x/25% cross multiply 8x25/100 = 2, x = 2, so 2+8 =10.

    Percent increasing?

If you want to increase 8 by 25%, simply do 8 x 1.25.

If you want to decrease by 25%, do 8 x 0.75.

    It's easy. Just keep in mind that Z x 1 = Z

From that rule, add the % that you want to increase/decrease your number to the 1.
