    My Hollowed-Out Mountain

So I got bored after the server was down and decided to play some singleplayer. Apart from hollowing out this mountain, I dug extremely deep into the ground and found a mob spawner/moss stone/lava/water. Here are some pictures of my hollowed-out mountain:

Nice! The server's online currently, although it got reset and I lost all my Diamond stuff. You should go on it, there are some pretty good builds on there.

It kind of just looks like you built walls up around the hill and said you carved it out o.0

Na, you can tell where the hill was and where he's built in. He made it himself.

I really did carve it out after digging a shitload and making a mine.

    Very nice.

My bro and I are making a 75x75 pit all the way down to bedrock. We currently aren't that far but we're making headway.

Wow! That's going to take a long time... I'm currently making this hollowed-out mountain a better place. It's pretty big and has room for things... just gotta figure out what to put in the space.

You could put a storage room, farming area, a furnace, a nice water fountain. Just some ideas of what you could put in it.

Haha. I'm in the middle of making a desert island. Only I couldn't find a spot on the ocean that was actually deserted, so I'm in the process of blowing up the continent around it.
Edit: But don't try to hide you built up the walls. We all know the difference between cobblestone and regular stone

You could just build dirt from sea level up to the surface rather than get a load of TNT?

I'm sorry but this doesn't take skill to do. All this takes is a little time. Not trying to be rude, but that's what I am thinking right now. When I clicked this thread I expected one of those huge mountains to be cut at the top and the entire inside carved out. Not... this.

Truly sorry if you take this the wrong way.

I've been making improvements to the place slowly... haven't had much time to play MineCraft in the past few days. Will upload new pics tomorrow.

Now try building a mountain, it is a lot harder if you want to make it look like Minecraft made it.

In Alpha, everything was as "Creative Mode" is now, in respect to the fact that you only had to click once to break any block besides bedrock.

    Just a daily FYI

It's been a month since I posted this, and I've probably only worked a few hours on this, but here's an update - I dug out a deep ditch all around the mountain, and got a ceiling. Inside the... house... are chests, a furnace, stairs, etc. Here are some pictures:
