    Update on DNT Status #2

Hey all, for anyone that missed my original thread - Update on DNT Status

I want to update that I am incredibly close to shaving off half of the original debt (interest notwithstanding $1600-$1700 dollars depending on what GP was at the time). Let it be known that TTB does not require interest, but obviously I feel like it is the proper thing to do. Would not be appropriate to take an interest free loan as no other entity on earth would ever give someone such a thing. I mean unless you planned on faking your own death to get out of debt. But uh, don't do that?

I also want to ask- Am I allowed to pardon my DNT if a substantial portion of the debt is repaid? Like can I get a vote or do I only get to the voting stage if it's entirely cleared? Being a "normal" member would likely help speed up the repayment process as I could freely take on jobs and whatnot. Obviously would still be contingent upon me passing a vote, but I don't feel like I am a risk to the website.

But anyway, I digress - if I am allowed to pardon I want to note that I have reached out to @colomdem today, the original member I had an outstanding debt to (my original ban reason). I want to point out admitting to evasion was my original ban. I was never actually banned for having an outstanding debt - the loan hadn't matured when I got banned. But obviously I understand why I stayed banned and was considered a risk with such a large amount owed. My pardons were never actually outright denied but were put off until the debt was cleared.

I feel like I have made great strides in resolving the debt and wanted to know if I am allowed to pardon with a large portion of it satisfied? Not entirely clear on the DNT pardon rules at the moment.

Rest assured, regardless of how long it takes or how many times I have to pardon, my #1 priority is getting this stain removed off of my account. It has taken a lot longer than I have wanted it to but thus is life.

Anyway, I will continue to use this next month while I wait for Colomdems response to further shave off as much of the debt as possible and wanted to get a clarification/ruling on the DNT pardon system so that if I can get a vote I can start planning my full pardon now. As much as I'd love to clear it entirely within these next 30 days I do not foresee that happening given my current budget and my new job funds still taking some time to accrue adequately. However, perhaps when my tax return comes I can cut off a large portion, we'll have to see how big that is. That's what she said.

    Ty for your time staff.

Like can I get a vote or do I only get to the voting stage if it's entirely cleared? Entirely cleared.

Glad to know you're working on getting the debt cleared. A summarised answer is that once you're eligible to pardon and have done so, your intentions and actions taken to right your wrong will be taken in to consideration.
