Unreportable names?

Do unreportable names really reduce ban rates? I have heard stories going both ways.

 

Well it really depense on how lazy a person is.

If they see hard to report names (which do stand out) they might straight away think botter, maybe watch you a bit (if not report you straight away). Some people will take the time just to try and get you banned/rolled back.

On the other hand people may screw up trying too report you, or just not be bothered to do so.

Personnally i try to keep to a name that is a few jumbled up letters that is hard to read which means people will need to read over your name a few times before reporting. But not one of those names that just stand out infront of everyones. So too answer your question, i don't think the hard to report names reduce ban rates.

 

No, they do not. Reportable names and unreportable names have the same amount of ban rates. If someone reports an offensive name, they will not check whether it's been its been botting or not. If a report for offensive name is filed, that's what they will deal with.

I would think so, jagex does look at reports and if you have a name like Mnnmnnmnmnmnm chances are people will be less inclined to take the time to try and figure out your name to report it. But it's not going to make your account untouchable, they don't catch botters by reports only.

 

I have been running 11 sorc bots for around a full month now. I have been rolled 3 times. The ban rate these days is very low, if they catch you, your going to be rolled.

More on topic: 2 of the accounts had a normal name and 1 had a hard name. I dont think it makes any difference.

 

If I see 2 people who I feel need reporting I'm more likely to report IIllllIIIlllI than I am Matthew042 or something.
