Unofficial Twitter for Sythe.Org

I was thinking of making a Twitter account for Sythe.Org an unofficial one. Whatever big updates like Skype getting hacked / site updates will be updated through the Twitter.

If I get some big/overwhelming replies on this thread, I wouldn't mind making one or if an Upper Management acknowledged this idea, I'll proceed on making it an Official one.

Opinions, thoughts?

Good idea, but i'd just contact the community dev. team and talk to the social media guys, and have one of them run the official one

 

Seems slightly pointless honestly, right now there just isn't a need for it. Getting people to even simply like the facebook page is like pulling teeth.

 

I think more people use Twitter these days compared to Facebook. That is why I came up with this simple idea. Yeah I might talk to the Community Development Team and see what they can come up with.

 

n4n0 could probably do that - he already runs the SYthe FB page

 

Support, as an editor of the FB page I would rather do Twitter, can easily get more followers, etc.

 

Bring the feedbacks on. I'm willing to run the Twitter though as I don't have work etc. What I do everyday is just being on Sythe.Org every minute etc. So with that being said, I can be almost up to date with all the updates/tweets.

Surely I might miss some but I will try my best not to miss any But if the Community Development Team / Admins decides to run this, it is better

 

I'd say theres no reason not to do it.

 

With that being said, I will create an UnOfficial Twitter Account for Sythe.Org. Once I get it set up and ready, I'll pass the details to a few of the bigshots here like The Black Tux, n4n0 and a few others so that the Twitter can be updated at a regular basis.

I don't see why not. If a FB page is already created then why not have a twitter as well? Just gives sythe added exposure imo.

No offense, but if the idea is supported, it should just be made Official.
I'm sure one of the Admin's wouldn't mind doing so.

I would agree with this. I'm better off with Twitter. I just hate Facebook.

 

No offence intended, but you said you would keep this up to date etc.. you posted a few times the day you made it and haven't posted since? What's happening with this?

There are chats in the CDT lounge about running an official sythe.org twitter, so that would nullify this.
