In reality, all it is: render, bg, brush (or another image with really low opacity, i can't really tell). From what I can see that is. Try using filters, or C4Ds to spice up the sig. The text on the Q♠ is wonderfully placed, took me a second to find it though. Next time try and finish it before you post it :p.

plain, render needs more blending, and the BG needs some effexts :S

Great idea, and the text placement is epic. But the render could use some blending and maybe a nice black\white effect C4D and it'd be even better

Thanks Gears. Do you know of any good c4d packs out there?

And does anyone know the text for playing cards?

2 computers later, I still have this picture.

Anyway, needs way better blending of whatever that white stuff is, and the render w/ the background. It's very obvious that its two separate things, and it can't be like that. Two techniques that can be used is blurring the background to set more emphasis on the foreground, and then messing with it to make it look nice. Another suggestion is adding effects to your render to make it seem like its part of the other image such as smudging things together. Another effect is creating a midground (made up word?) where you add another render ( like 2 cards) and just placing them somewhere to take attention away from the background vs render issues. Of course it would have to look nice (like adding a vector curve or something) to work, but it's certainly doable.

    Hope that helped :).

Ah, Yakov. I was waiting for someone to come by and give me some good advice and you gave me way more than I wanted. And I can't believe you still have that thing...

What you tell me is what I was going for, trying to make the background match the render. Obviously I failed. Thank you for the tips and everything.

How would I apply a vector curve?

Using the pen tool, if you plot two points its a straight line, by messing with the middle thing you get a curve, then set the brush to something bigger and you're good.

man, the game is a sick artist,
but making something with that render is difficult.. I used it in a sig a long time ago... it was horrible lol

    as to yours,
the background appeals to my eye more than the render itself, the render needs to be blended, and the C4D looks like it was just thrown in and you lowered the opacity/put it on overlay/soft light or something.

and some pieces of art work are just meant not to have text.

ive tried doing something like that before, youve got yourself an awsome render there, could actually if you finished look really good, and if you do, i want it :D maybe chuck a few more c4ds down the bottem left blending them up to the top around the had n jokers? , maybe add another pic background on top and replace it abit? get some lighting in there, i dont really know i can always picture in my head how good them type can look but dont know how to do it lol :p good luck id like to see your outcome

EDIT BLENDING Q: get yourself the L brush mate and play around with it abit, or the leaf brush they both work well, just keep playing around with them both or look at tuts for good ones

Yeah, stop suggesting c4ds. They're useful but you don't have to whore them.

Its a nice concept but it lacks flow, blending etc.. try making a b/g with whatever and putting the card layer on overlay of lighten. Pen tooling might be a nice feature here.

Hmmm, sounds like a really good idea actually. I want to play around with it as soon as I get some free time.
