Unfair permanent ban (rs3/osrs)

Hi,

Like a week ago my maxed osrs account got hacked. The hacker went doing commission staking.. I recovered my account, but it is permanently banned now. Because commission staking is banneable in oldschool rs.
I tried mailing/tweeting/account support to inform jagex, but I didn't get any reply's.
I have played almost 10 years on this account, eoc and osrs, it means alot to me.
If anyone can help me with this please tell me here.

Chances of an unban are likely slim, try to get a j mods attention,twitter etc, keep tweeting, also try to find someone who knows a jmod personally and could vouch for you, maybe they could look into it, if of course it was actually hacked.

 

The rule pertaining to your situation is that you are responsible for your account security and as a extension of that, any rule-breaking caused by your account no matter the circumstances.

They have pretty brutal rules.

 

Not sure about that. After all, JaGeX just ran a form where you could appeal your macroing ban if you were hacked. JaGeX on a number of cases actually reversed the ban if you were found to have actually been hacked.

OP: You're best bet is to either ticket or tweet. Expect minimal responses, or a response denying your ticket. Certainly do not spam them, but be persistent. It's likely your account will remain banned, however.

 

If you message their support they may be able to able you if what you explained is true.

 

I tried tweeting, but all they do is leading me to support.
At the support I tried to message them, with filling in recovery form.
But it seems like jagex doesn't even read it, I only get a mail back to make a new password etc.

I thought about this, jagex can see IP-adresses, right? if I could tell them when I was hacked, and when the ban happened.
But the problem is that they are ignoring me so far :/

 

From the RS website on this: "Please remember that players are responsible for the actions of any person to have accessed their account. We provide a number of tools and tips to help players keep their accounts secure. In instances where an account was hijacked at the time of the ban offence, the account owner will be held accountable."

 

Honestly; harassing JMods on Twitter is about the only effective way to get through to someone these days, lol.

 

I think that may be out of date then, as JaGeX, about a month ago, opened a form where you can appeal a macroing ban if you were hacked. In addition, I have heard of macroing bans being reversed due to the account being hacked. But contradictions seem to be one of their specialties lol

 

Keep sending tickets, be formal and polite and explain the situation fully and most importantly don't lie.
