    Only guy I can think of is Childish Gambino.

    I don't know it will be hard to find some like him he is pretty unique, post if you do tho.

    No, he said underground artists similar to cudi, not similar in style to cudi. If he had of mentioned style or anything along those lines is agree with you but by only saying similar he leaves his meaning open to interpretation. I suggest that you learn the meanings of the various compositions of words before you start getting aggravated for no reason.

    The only similarity that Childish Gambino has with Kid cudi is that they both make rap. Apart from that, they are like polar opposites IMO.

    Mainstream = well known / played by plenty of people.

    underground = not famous / played but a limited amount of people
