But that "child has to volunteer", my god that's just beyond stupid!!!

 

I would volunteer if I was under 18.

 

You would only volunteer if you were mindfucked into it. It's too easy to manipulate children, sadly it's pretty easy with adults also.

Thank you for your service, no "Scrue you for your service"! If you were raised correctly you would understand how wrong war is and would never take part of it.

 

It's really difficult to define "Child". Kids fight wars all the time unfortunately, whether it's an 8 year old with an AK-47 in Somalia, or an 18 year old kid straight out of high school whose only responsibility in life was to not spill Mountain Dew on his Mom's carpet while playing Minecraft. Using a child to gather information/spy is definitely not as brutal as other wartime roles, and probably somewhat more effective.

In the middle east, insurgents make children stand out in front of the road in front of military convoys to try to get them to stop so the insurgents can ambush them. It's a grim thing that convoy drivers have to be ordered to run over the children, for the safety of the unit and ultimately future children.
