Double XP Weekend Theory

Just a theory..

but let's say Jagex does actually have a new and improved detection method.. what if this weekend was just a plot to get all the botters? Most people are loading up their accounts to get ready, bringing back inactive botted accounts, etc... this is their primetime is it not?

Why would they need the double xp weekend. If their so good at it, they wouldn't need a mass amount of botters. They obviously are getting better detection, as seen with the sws bans, etc... The DEW was due eventually and now it's here.

I realize that but wouldn't this be the the best time? Most if not all will be botting this weekend, a great time to gather a banwave.

Think about the impact it would make on the GE, and the game entirely.

Which is the most obvious ploy... I guess I'm the only one who thinks this. I'm used to Blizzard's sneaky ways from when Glider was around I suppose. Sorry.

Clearly.. if I was paranoid I wouldn't be botting.

Main reason I don't come to this site, so many young children who are either immature or so rude, it's funny.

 

If they had a new detection programm they obviously wouldn't need a double exp weekend... They would just turn it on and all the normal botters would be banned....

 

You don't understand, why would they do that when they can wait for all of the inactive mains/accounts that were botted with millions, etc.. which most of them merch, or atleast ruin the game economy or game in some way for the legit players.

It's not just about botting, but clearly the narrow-mindedness and young children on this forum just don't get it!

Honestly, I was thinking of that, but at the same time, I don't want to miss out on the sick exp I could get from this.

 

It's not that they are 'so good at it'. Their aim isn't to prove to us that they can ban us, it is to actually ban us.

I have thought about this before and I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was a mass ban on Tuesday.

Probably, Jagex tries to be sneaky.

 

Personally I think this double exp weekend was a ploy by Jagex for people to make their accounts members if they were previously non members or to make other pure/skillers members too etc.

Basically Jagex would make more money from memberships this money/weekend.

Good theory,When botters hear double exp they immeaditly log on haha. So lots of botters = ban week for jagex

 

People that have botted hundreds of millions and have quit would not come back to play just for 2x exp for 8 hours and this would also cost them $10... You're obviously an idiot by calling us "narrow-mindedness young children." Double exp weekend is a ploy to get f2p to buy membership... Also mass bans are to scare people from botting, they don't want to completly get rid of botting because that would take out a huge chunk of their income...
