Will my laptop run Modern Warefare 2?

I passed everything on the test besides the video card, but I think it is because the website doesn't recognize my Graphics Chip on my Laptop.

Do you think I could run it? If so, on what settings?

PS: It runs things like WoW, CS:S, Portal, and Spore on above medium settings.

If you can run Call of Duty 4, you can run this too, but if your graphics card is lacking behind, it might cause a lower framerate or something :S But i think it will run yes. Lowest detail perhaps?

 

I personally have not tried COD4 on here, but according to my graphic chip's website, it can run COD4.

 

I think you should be able to run it though, just make sure when running it, to not have anything else running. Because, your hanging on by a straw i think

 

I think you will be able to run it. It might lag some points but RAM and CPU will make up for it just play low detail

 

You will be able to run CoD:MW2 decently single player on 1280x1024, moderate settings with anti-aliasing, shadow, lighting, and other advanced texture options set to low. Generally anti-aliasing and textures will be hardest on your computer, but you will have to experiment and figure out which settings you prefer more.

i.e. Do you want to see detailed shadows and textures with minimal clipping or do you want a high resolution with realistic lighting effects?

Assuming your Windows 7 installation hasn't had any problems with your drivers, you may struggle a little bit with online play in terms of video and connection lag due to the new P2P matchmaking system. If you lower your video settings on multiplayer you should be fine in terms of video lag, and depending on whether or not your connection can sustain the game, that shouldn't be an issue either. Your CPU and RAM are all satisfactory, but in the end bus speed, the software installed, and other little settings might contribute to an overall better or worse experience.

I'm pretty sure that you should be able to run the game on your laptop getting pretty decent fps, as long as the settings aren't maxed, but is the video card on-board, or dedicated?

 

Yeah fir sure. The thing is you're gonna need to play on lower detail, you probably will just need to turn a few things down, like shadowing, texture and the such

 

bought it today, its somewhat choppy, quite difficult to play, but i'd probably be better if i was used to PC shooters, i might buy a USB controller to use instead

 

Did you try lowering all of your detail settings and turning of v sync?

 

Intel chips are bad for gaming Matt. Unfortunately your going to have to use pretty low detail settings.

Make sure too that you have the latest drivers for it.

Is it so choppy that it effects gameplay or if you turn down the detail then its fine?

 

its playable, but don't expect anything amazing
