Runescape Private Servers

I am looking to get into an RSPS, but I don't know if they are like WoW private servers and just seriously suck or not. What do you play and what do you recommend? I think accelerated experience would be nice, as would working minigames/GWD, and a functional economy.

Why do you play private servers? Do you do it to plan for actual runescape or do you just do it for the fun of it?

When I did play on private servers it was just to try my hand at pking without actually risking anything.

I used it to test different stat builds and item combinations. A sandbox of sorts.

 

I played rsps for awhile... Innovationx.org is what its called i think.
they have two types a runescape based that does everything and a pking based
InnovationX is the regular. its pretty good not as many people on it before.
Legacy is the pking portion. That is my favorite if your into pking check it out.

I used to play them to basically plan my future runescape antics, for example test pures to zerkers before getting defence, etc.
