American Gods Tv Show.

Hey mates.

Im a big fan of the book so I was wondering what do you think about the tv show?

 

Never seen it. What's the book/TV show about?

 

Hey dude, well according to wikipedia:

"The series focuses on Shadow Moon, who meets a strange man named Mr. Wednesday after being released from prison. Shadow Moon soon becomes embroiled in a large-scale conflict between the Old Gods and the New Gods"

The interesting part about it is that show you how old gods (Anubis, thor, zeus) and other mythological entities came to America and how they interact with the new gods (Internet, sex and television).

In Rotten Tomatoes it has a 95% rating but as always the book is better.

The description of the show intrigues me a lot: "Ex-convict Shadow Moon roams a world he doesn't understand, left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife. As their journey begins, Shadow encounters a hidden America where magic is real and fear grows over the ascending power of New Gods like Technology and Media. In a grand plan to combat the threat, Mr. Wednesday attempts to unite the Old Gods to defend their existence and rebuild the influence that they've lost, leaving Shadow struggling to accept this new world and his place in it."

Considering the description gives me interest, and the ratings are so good, then I'll definitely have to give it a chance. Thanks, and I will let you know whenever I get the chance to watch the series, thank you so much again.

 

The Author of the book is Neil Gaiman, dont know if you know him but most of his books have good adaptations (Coraline, stardust and like 2 episodes of Dr. Who) plus he writed some comics of batman and sandman.
