Uhm...New! Help please.

I saw the graphics section and looked through some of the signatures. They looked so amazing and really inspired me to learn how to make them. I see everyone postings tutorials and stuff on the way they use this.. and that.. Blah blah, but i have yet to see a program people use? Im really new and want to learn so if someone could refer a program for me to get started on id greatly appreciate it

As the post above me said, Gimp. It's an awesome free software (and open-source) that can achieve a few things. If your looking for something better, you'd probably want Photoshop. The price is A LOT (I mean, it's like over $500) but there are alternatives to getting it for free (Illegal, btw) which I cannot explain on sythe.

Hahaha, so i downloaded Gimp, but i hve not seen any tutorials on like how i get the pictures in the background to start out with.
