Briefly explain the trade: i asked if he would sell me a 30 day membership and he said sure, but he couldn't go first. i offered to go first as long as he vouched for me since i'm a new member. he told me to meet him at world 4 lumbridge, where i gave him 10 million rsgp. he logged out since his character was poisoned and gave me the code, and asked me if i wanted to apply it, or if i wanted to apply it myself. i wanted to do it myself, since i didn't want some guy knowing my account password, so i clicked on membership cards and typed in the code str0wn gave me, with and without spaces, i even tried changing my country. nothing worked.

What happened after you told him the code was unsuccessfully redeemed? I am just wondering because it doesn't look like he logged out of MSN on you.

Have you asked him to refund you or give you a new code?

 

he said i should have let him apply it because he can't tell if i'm lying about the code not working or not

 

Do you have a picture of the end of the conversation where he blocks you and logs off, or the in game screenshot of the gold transfer?

 

he never blocked me, we just stopped talking, and i dont have an ingame screenshot of the gold transfer because i didn't think this was going to happen, i thought i was going to get a code that worked. i'm pretty sure the conversation is evidence that i did give him the gold though because he wouldn't have continued to give me a code(working or not) if i didn't give him the money. i'd just like it if a moderator or something can talk to him about the situation because i just really either want what i paid for or my money back.

What I have been trying to get at, is that usually after a situation like this the scammer blocks the victim and logs out. In this case, you guys simply stopped talking and so in my opinion, it kind of rests in a "grey-area" where I am not sure whether he scammed you, or whether it was some sort of misunderstanding and you guys never came to a solution between yourselves.

For now, I am going to contact him and see if we can get you a refund. You should contact him on your own as well. IF he refuses to refund you with a working code, then I could move to ban him.

EDIT: Did a quick test with a previously used game card I had at my home, just to test out the message that is displayed when you use a previously used code. It is the same for both a legitimate previously used code, and a random fake code.
