A note to making pures on the 2007 servers

I see lots of threads about users talking about acconts their going to make. You all need to know a few things about the processes.


It is going to be several weeks to months before you can start to pk because there will be no whips no rune armor, no runes no arrows no bows, no food. It will take awhile to start to build up the new Rs community.


Just an FYI

 

Whips from abby demons will be around in 1 month max. Rune armour will be around a few days in, runes will also be around a few days in, arrows the same, bows the same and food the same.
Pking will be possible within the first 4 or 5 days, just not with whips.

 

Very true. However, account stats won't be ready in 4-5 days. It will take weeks-months to get the accounts ready to pk depending on what pure/type of account you decide to make.

 

The main problem will be making cash to buy things, since no ones going to have large amounts it means selling to the shops to get started.

There will not be proper supplies for pking until bots are set up and available to the public. Unless you plan on obtaining those yourself.

 

It really won't take as long as you think to get everything kicked up. 85 slayer can be achieved by hardcore players (or bots) within a matter of a week or two.

Pking supplies will take even less time to gather, I'd say two or three days, honestly, if that.

 

There's no way rune armor will be around in a few days you need 80 smithing to start to smith rune armor and that will take 1+ month to get. I agree with you on the other stuff however.

 

Players can and will have stats in the 80's within 2-3 days of server release. It isn't that difficult to achieve, especially if you home in on one or two skills specifically (i.e mining and smithing).

I can definitely see some of the more hardcore players grinding out 85 slayer and then making loads of money in the first week.

 

I remember having to wait for runes in rune shops and fighting over who buys them first. ^_^

 

I can make a flat 99 in the amount of time you're assuming a pure would take lol. and do you really think pkers only pk at their goal level? most of us have several setups so we can take breaks at times and pk at various levels..

 

Oh yes! i remember everytime i saw the "system update in..." in the corner, i would stop what i was doing and get to Port Sarim straight away to the rune shop, and buy most of the runes, relog into new worlds and repeat.

Then rather sell them on in w1/w2 for alot of profit or use myself to train xD

 

Whip pking will take a few weeks to get going, but you might as well start making them.

 

I doubt the first whips would be used to pk with, unless the person has multiple. People who get ahold of the first whips will probably use them to achieve faster combat levels instead of pking.

 

^ this. Whips won't be used to pk until at least a few weeks to a month, they're gonna be the most expensive item out there. Many newfags don't realize that whips were the best weapon in that era, no godswords bullshit.

 

We've yet to find out if there will be godswords or not. They say they are using a backup of the game from august 2007 and gwd was released at the end of august. Also I don't believe they said they are just using that exact backup as is, I personally am split between wanting gwd and not. I think 2007 scape with godswords would be a lot of fun but wouldn't mind if it wasn't included. Also I haven't seen anyone talking about the dark bow which is going to be the best range weapon for pking.

 

Dude, you should probably read the FAQ. The cut-off date is August 10th, 2007, GWD was released on August 28th.

 

Now my question is... how will the rares be brought back? like party hat, masks, etc.. that was before 2007.
