You don't get enough attention for not being original.

I don't think it's being harsh for anyone.

The ones that say that they don't like it, are seeking for attention.

    Nothing is sacred.

    Freedom of speech please.

You're offended? It's offensive? You choose to be offended. Why do you care about it?

You don't care about the disgusting wars and genocides around the world yet you have a moral outrage for two chicks trying to be funny and have a good time.

Once you drop the veil of nationalism you realize that the twin towers falling was relatively small in comparison to other, much more important things.

do you find this offensive/distastefull/unaccceptable given the context?

    Yes very much so.

Do you believe the club in question (Rosie's) should have allowed them to stay, or indeed enter, and win, the competition?

I think the should be permanently banned from club distasteful bitches

"It was 12 years ago, please relax"?
Yes, it was a while ago, but if you lost someone you loved in that tragic accident I don't think you'd say that.
There are families that are still absolutely crushed over this despite it being a while ago. People died.
I know this person is now banned, I just really needed to get that out because I find it absolutely disgusting how someone could say that. :'(

Not sure how gravedigs work in this section but I find this topic to be really interesting.

I find this distasteful and insensitive, but me personally see no wrong-doing or hate. It could be funny in that situation, maybe for a gag gift.

This is where I have a problem, the club allowed this. Perhaps wanted attention, which they got? There is no such thing as bad publicity, so props to them.

shock factor. gg. they knew it was wrong, but they got some attention. i'd consider these to be attention whores. nope, nothing wrong with it. i wish it was my idea. i'd love the negative attention and hate. i'd laugh.

Things that bring about hurt cannot always be avoided. Seeking to avoid hurt instils further hurt.
For the families of 9/11 victims, not every person would view these women as awful. Remembering the event might hurt, however, calling these women awful because they portrayed past events is a projection of one's own hurt feelings.

Anyone who was unaffected by 9/11 but calls these costumes awful merely sympathizes with the affected.

Would it be wrong if they had dressed up as a WWII Soldier and a Nazi?

I take this as a form of uhhhhh, idk but i think its pretty messed up since their showing it off. If they were some other culture, hate was definetly going to be brought up which pisses me because its as if other people can't do it but they can :/

This is truly appalling. You dress up or halloween in something funny/scary, but this, this is something where hundreds of people died. Its like wearing a Hitler costume, or a Osama costume, its just disrespectful.

    Or just too early.
Plenty of people dress as pirates, and they were all about raping, pillaging, murdering and stealing.

Yes, they are the same thing.
    No, there's no difference.
