Tutorial On Skype Icon Status

Finally figured something out that might help people so I decided to make a little guide for you chaps. If you're sick of your skype icon on sythe always looking like this then you are in the right place:

Here are the simple steps to follow.
1. Open up Skype and go into the tools drop down menu; then select Options.


2. Click the Privacy tab and then go into the subsection Privacy Settings.


3. Put a check in the box that says allow my online status to be shown on the web.


4. Click save & wait a couple of minutes. Voila! You're done now your skype icon should always show your actual status.

MAC TUTORIAL BY ANET390

STEP 1: Go to top of screen and Click "Skype" and Select "Preferences" (Note: If "Skype" does not appear at the top of your screen, make sure you have the skype application selected and the skype window is open)


STEP 2: In "Preferences" select "Privacy" at the top of the window


STEP 3: Check the box next to "Show my status on the web"


STEP 4: CONGRATULATIONS! You are finished. You may now close the preferences window (it auto-saves) and your skype icon will now work correctly on Sythe.

Thanks for the guide Glare. I always wondered how people made it so theirs was on, and it wasn't really that common. You might also want to add that little bit in the donators lounge about doing it for Mac's also, there's really only one difference.
