    Inheritance problem

I've learned the basics of java and some extra tricks, but while I was learning inheritance, I came across a problem.

    The Problem:
    • I use TextPad as my Java editor and I've been having trouble trying to access mutators and accessors or just inheriting the whole class all together
    • When I compile the code, it can't find the file of the one I'm trying to inherit from and they are both in the same folder (same directory)

What I believe is wrong is something with TextPad; I used an IDE (Eclipse) and it compiled fine. I want to use TextPad because of the simplicity of it, though.

    Can someone please help?
