Turtle Beaches. Which ones?

Turtle Beaches are the biggest wastes of money ever compressed into an xbox accessory. Do you really suck that bad that you need to rely on a headset to make you do better? If you are good at the game they don't even matter.

 

I'm going to use them for my computer mostly.

 

Logitech are the gods of PC Gaming hardware. I would recommend the Logitech G35, much better and cheaper than TB plus they are amazing for games.

 

What? sounds like you get owned by people who use them and so you think that somehow makes them bad. I don't know if you're just butthurt or what but all the pros and good players use them, and for good reason. They help a LOT, so they are obviously not a waste of money.

I would recommend the Logitech G35s if you're just going to be using them on PC. They're much cheaper than comparable TBs, but still pretty much on par with sound quality. Corsair has also released some good headsets recently.

 

My friend has X41's and he likes them a lot, though I do like the look of the MW3 ones. From experience I think that headsets are extremely useful for gaming or situations where you can't play sound over speakers. I have Astro A40's and I think they're excellent for games but they have nothing on the high end TB's.

 

Dayum, had no idea external headsets were even on the market for consoles. Can't see myself ever owning a pair but i suppose it would allow for all the more immersible gameplay.

 

If you do decide to go for the MW3 ones, don't. Your wasting lots of extra money for a nicer looking headset. At the end of they day, your not going to see those nice visuals when you are wearing them are you?

 

Are you serious? The guy asked what would be the best option for him, he didn't wanted to be slated on his game play because of the choice of what headset he wants to buy.

OT: Personally I use the PX21's for my Xbox, but also on my PC and turntables. You can use them on your PC, Xbox or PS3. But what you go for entirely depends n the sole use, like others say, if ou want them for PC, go with Logitech dude.

 

If you don't care about price , don't buy turtle beaches, They're not the best for your money.

I'm using them for my xbox for gaming. PC for talking to people/etc. Not going to be doing much PC gaming. Probably going with the x41's or x500's.

 

Don't go for Turtles..Astros are much better.. Theres other brand of head sets.

 

In short:

Mainly Consoles: Turtle Beach.
Mainly PC: Logitech.

It's a pity Logitech don't do headsets for Consoles, they'd make a fortune.

Don't buy based off of looks...you are going to pay WAY over what you could be paying for the same headset that doesn't visually look "good".

Same thing goes for Beats (headphones). You are paying for the looks.

OP: Go for the X41s or the G35 headset. I've never used either of them, but I did some research and they both seem to have good reviews. Another thing to consider is the wireless (X41). I don't know how well it works, but you may run into technical difficulties or they may work on and off. Just some food for though.

Tbs are great for xbox. There's not that much difference between them but I recommend you at least get a wireless version.

Lol. Obviously you have never played cod4/waw/mw2. If you think that advantage alone isn't worth it then you are an idiot and probably rock a 1k/d and w/l. Not to mention they immerse you more in the game, easier to talk to friends, don't have to have the rest of the house hear you if you play at night.

They are good. I had a pair of the x1s until my mother stood on them and broke them and now I am rocking the X11s and they are amazing yes there about £40 for the bottom range ones but Id much rather them over a normal headset. I use them alot in gamebattles games and they are a good help if you play gb.
