any1 with 99 smithing here??is it a great cape to show off??does getting 99 smithing help u in anyway in runescape??like making more money or can asist other people??

 

It is a really great cape to show off, especially if you're a 1 defence pure.
smithing cape looks great with full bronze and some yellow gloves and boots.

It doesn't really help you to make money, though if you smith cannonballs for 99 you'll make a shitload of money getting there.

It will make people want assists from you alot though, because mining/smithing effigy are common.

 

99 smithing is useful in dungeoneering because you can all of the promethium armour, and hence people will want to party with you a little more.

Also, it's a neat cape to have. Doesn't cost a whole lot. Maybe like 70m.

 

My old 112 has 99 smithing, I rarely use it anymore. If you know what you're doing, then you can make money off it. Otherwise, it's really their to show off.

 

As above, it's not too good for making money, but it's a really cool cape and can come in handy here and there (such as when doing dungeoneering)

Do cannonballs and you'll make a considerably big profit.

 

I have 99 smithing on my pure, too many people call me a botter though (which I am). Its nice to have and it looks great with full iron . The emote isn't all that great imo, but it does get attention for a level 50 to walk around with a smithing cape.

Also I did 1-94 with cannonballs and made roughly 160m, then did gold bars till 99 and spend 20-30m. Prices aren't exact as I was always buying stuff and pking and such.

 

You can fix your barrows armour in your house for lower cost with 99 smithing. Fixing whole set is like 30% cheaper then paying Bob in Lumbridge. Was one of my first 99s, never regret + Fancy cape
