I donno, Pretty hard question to he honest, I'd probally have to go with yes, Millions will die to Aids. So, If you kill 1,000 you'll still be saving Millions of lives.

 

What is funny is i dont think there will be a cure. HIV is a retrovirus.. and viruses arent alive and cant be killed. So really, you wont cure it but get rid of it on earth, tho they can find a vacine but HIV changes very fast well the RNA inside the virus.
