Donation Ideas.

I have two ideas for donations what could help and benefit, they are not perks just some ideas i've thought off.

I was thinking, you could add more symbols for donation at different stages. what is recognised more.
Maybe you could add a zamorak armour set in the layout of the guthix one seen at $5 between $50 and $100, so $75 and between $100 and $200 Saradomin armour set.
The same layout as the guthix armour but in the colours of saradomin and zamorak. There is a massive leap between these too, and some people may be put of donating more since it won't be recognised, personally, If I donated $50, I wouldn't want to donate another $50 to get to the next symbol I'd proberly donate $25 more.

I was thinking something like this.

$75 Zamorak
$150 Saradomin
(or vise versa)

Or

$10 Zamorak
$15/20 Saradomin
(or vise versa)​

My second idea is that sythe isn't just a runescape based website, it's also world of warcraft and other things as well, Maybe you could add some things relating towards world of warcraft more, I don't personally play it but everything seems to revolve around runescape, Eg) All the donation symbols, cracker head. Etc.

This certainly makes sense and isn't something completely crazy. In my opinion it would give people an even greater incentive to donate to the site. And it is possible that some of the donators don't even go on the site to trade runescape commodities/services, so you're right in suggesting different icons etc.

Sythe is a Runescape Cheating site, WoW are only sub-forums.

 

I used to be a $75 donator and I was upset that I never got a new rank. Though, I was thinking something more along the lines of disk of returning / pumpkins, not sara/zammy armour.

 

Yeah I mean I was only presenting the idea the admins can adapt on it. yeah maybe the lower ones below $25 could be used for armour and the pumpkins, disks could be used for $75 and $150.

Even so, I can understand it's main topic is runescape, but still maybe some WoW things, but hey that was just a small idea.

As Kadaj said this is a RuneScape cheating website...There is WoW on here but this is mostly used by RuneScape related users. Also, donating is a choice, you do not have to donate. Also, if you really dont wan't something RuneScape as an rank image, donate $300 and create your own.

 

Yeah I know, that was just a sub topic. The main topic was the different images for donation to encourage more people to actually donate.

Alright you may be right on the fact that the site is meant for rs cheating, however what about 50$ and 75$ ranks.
You cannot deny that it is not a bad idea.

 

I support your idea, however i do not support the thought of zamorak statues and such.

A nice idea and would give people more of an incentive.

Having a Zamarok or Saradomin picture isn't going to encourage people to donate. If they're going to donate, they will.

Well, seeing as more people donate to get the tile, so they are recognised and get credit for contributing to sythe. If I had $100 donator tile and I donated $180. I'd proberly want something eles, since the jump is so great. from $100-$200. My topic of this thread is to make an inpoint between certain tiles. So you don't have to donate alot, to get to the next tile. You can't realy speak on behalf of everyone on sythe saying that it won't encourage people. I personally think it would if I was a $5 donator, I wanted to donate more, but wanting to get recognised but not donate $20 I'd proberly want a new tile to come out so I would be motivated to do so, and I'm sure alot of people would agree with me.

 

I think it's certainly not a bad idea, however the armour sets do look similar, but when you donate a certain amount you can choose your rank anyways and the pic.

 

I agree with your second idea, War Glaives and Thunderfury would be pretty sick as rank symbols. Maybe, new donation ranks could be created that act as World of Warcraft counterparts for the current ones?
