Its all good and well not eating as much food but you should write up a small work out plan also, say do a few sit ups and some push ups before you go bed? or even go for a small jog. Trust me even the smallest work out will help you loose those pounds, hope you do well and shed of those pounds.

I honestly think you should be eating a lot more than that given your weight. If you lose weight too fast you will just be left with loose skin.

Thanks for the reply fendle, I will take your suggestions into consideration and yeah before I jog everyday I already do toe touches, sit ups, push ups, and I work my biceps with my resistance tube.

@KMJT - I am only eating this small amount currently because I want to get slimmer for prom an graduation. Hell man, I'm going to prom with a 115 pound girl and I want to be able for her to not feel as embarrassed to be with me. After prom I will start eating a bit more, but still gradually lose weight for graduation. Once I get to about 260-280 I will slow it down even more and lift with my buddy as I've stated. Exercising and drinking a lot of water helps your skin snap back into place and since I'm only 19, my skin is still elastic so I shouldn't have too much excess skin. And I'll be lifting with protein supplements and such when I start lifting so the muscle will help fill out my skin too. Thank you for the reply :)

Also to whoever reads this, I forgot to mention that I'm 6'1-6'2 and I'm naturally a big dude and I'm big boned. I'm probably the most athletic 320 pound person you will ever meet. I can run faster than some of my skinny friends, in gym class I'll be doing everything that everyone else does, and I have good endurance and can run for long distances. It's pretty weird but I love it lol.

Although you're aiming for fast weight loss immediately for prom, KMJT was right. After prom, design a diet that will help you lose as much fat while retaining as much muscle as possible. I understand you don't want to increase Calories right now, but your current diet has a lot of Carbs without much Protein or Fat. If possible with foods available to you, try to divide your Calories into about 40% Protein, 40% Carbs, 20% Healthy Fat.

Also, you don't have to wait until you're working out to take whey protein, or eat more protein in your diet. You should be consuming ~0.9g per pound of your target bodyweight even if you're not lifting, just to retain your muscle.

I hope this helps. The Bodybuilding.com forums have a lot of helpful info in the nutrition section. www.trim-diet.com also has a lot of info as well as a great list of healthy weight loss diet foods.

Gameprograms, if you read my reply to KMJT that should give you a better understanding of my thoughts. If I only rapidly lose weight for a bit, the excess skin will not be that bad, if any at all, due to exercise and drinking a lot of water because it helps with elasticity, around 260-280 I will stop doing it rapidly and start lifting with my friend and lose fat slowly. As for the 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat, at the time being I can't really do that because I go to school so I gotta eat lunch there and then my mom makes whatever for dinner and she's poor and she gets food stamps so I can't ask her to get me what I need. I'm starting a real good job soon and once I get my own place I'm going to eat really good and cook everything myself and stay away from processed stuff while I lift and all that good stuff. For now, I gotta just do what I can.

Thanks for the reply Cali. My friend is 250 himself and benches 500 and he's rock solid muscle but that's cause he used to take steroids lol and he wants to get back into taking them again but I advised him not to do so lol. But I can't change how people do things =p.

That seems like a good plan to lose some weight.

I am a senior in high school, about to go play college football, and the coach told me it would be in my best interest to weigh about 300 lbs. i started dieting to lose, and im down to 310 from 320 now. what i'm doing is pretty much the same as you are. eating 5 meals a day, heavy in protein, relatively low in carbohydrates. and as part of my training for football, i lift weights and run 5 times a week, so im replacing what fat ive been losing with muscle.

its working out pretty well. besides, from what i've heard from other people, i don't look near the weight i really am. i guess it's because i've taken my weight training seriously over the years.

but yeah, i love talking about working out and dieting, since i am an athlete. :D

@ zeeman - Same with me as far as not looking as big as I actually am. I used to play baseball back in the day, and I tried football a few years ago in my early years of high school but because of my size I'd usually hurt my back. But that's great that you're getting in shape as well, I'm glad. I like talking about that kind of stuff too so if you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to PM me.

Sounds good, I do as well =]

Update: Woke up today, 3 days after my diet started again, down from 321.5 to 317.9. Not a bad start at all, Although it was weird, I woke up and it said I was 320, I took a shit, went back on, and I was 317.9 haha.

Damn shedding pounds. I agree that you may want to eat more but 5 smaller meals is better. And I'm sure alot helps from water and running. Once you do get down a bit I'm gonna guess that's when it will be tougher. Naturally being big is hard but like we said before its what others want.

There we go, someone that agrees with me lol. But yeah, when I get smaller it will be tougher because each day you lose resting calories, which is your weight x10 so right now I lose 3180 calories just by sitting around. So if I eat less than that, I'll still lose weight without exercising, but nonetheless I'm exercising. When I get down to 220 I'll be losing 2200 calories by sitting around, so if I eat that much each day or less, I'll roughly stay at about that weight, and eating 5 small meals per day will help stay at 2200 calorie limit per day for when I get smaller. And yeah, everyone wants people to be skinny, no matter if the person doesn't mind being big or not.

Generally skinny people look better, no loose fat hanging around so I guess it's an ideal figure.

I agree, but I mean in the sense of like... People like skinny people, but personally, I don't mind being big. I'm doing this so I can better my life. I'm healthy as a bull, I've never had any health problems that have to do with my weight at all and my doctors were amazed that I'm as healthy as I am. From my experiences, big guys aren't as bad looking as big girls, girls look like slobs when they're huge but big guys can sometimes pull it off.

    Take a look at this:

If you need help with calculations just give me your current weight and bf% and activity level and i'll do the rest.

That just seems like an excuse to stay at such a high weight, no offense. You may be healthy now but you will definitely run into problems in the future.

I do understand where you're coming from, but I do get an alright amount of fat during the day with what I'm doing now. In the morning with my cereal I have milk which has fat in it, and for dinner I'm sure the stuff my mom makes has a sufficient amount of fat, as well as 2 grams of fat per special k cereal bar. As soon as I graduate and get my own place I will be having a great protein intake and when I start lifting I will be eating more, like I said, this is temporary and I shouldn't have many health problems with doing this temporarily. As for the Body Fat % that you asked me for, I do not know it and I'm not quite sure how I'd go about finding that out. I bought a weight watcher's scale that is supposed to tell me but I don't know how to get it to work.

Remember, it's hard to loose weight if you're lifting and want to grow some muscle since you need to eat more than you use so you won't be losing weight while doing it. That's why you should first go to the gym while you got some extra on you, easier to gain muscle. After that you should start cutting and go to the gym just to keep the muscle you have gained.

I did it the hard way and lost weight while going to the gym and it's really annoying because you don't really get results as fast as being on a bulk. I weight about 148lbs down from 180lbs, really like the slim figure and my abs :p Going for that swimmermode.

Well yeah of course I won't lose that much weight while lifting, but at least I'll be losing fat, that's what I want, to lose fat. I'm probably going to bulk and be about 220-240 or so and I want to kind of look like Brock Lesnar's body or Alistair Overeem's. But I guess I'll have to see what happens. As for the slim figure, I'd rather have power than care about abs =]
