    VB6/.NET/C# which do i choose?

Ok so i've started creating bots again and i was wondering if anyone could help me make a choice on what language to create them in, my options are VB6, .NET and C#.

Although i'm more fluent in VB6 than the others, it's very outdated and think i should move on from it, but i dont know what language to pick.

    Any ideas?

C# is a .NET language. If you know VB6 then you should be ok with VB.NET.

Apart from syntax, VB.Net 2010 and C# 2010 have almost identical functionality. They share the same libraries. If you have no coding experience, VB.Net will most likely be easier. It's more english-y than C# is.

VB.Net and C# are more powerful than VB6. VB.Net and C# are pretty much equal.

    Use Java, .NET, or nothing.

I know what I'm talking about, theyre the best, theyre what people actually work in in the programming arena

Definately disagree with this, vb6 is better than vb.net. especially when handling image processing. It's faster than all the built in .net functions.
In saying that you can still call API's in .net. which sorta nulls my argument :/

I don't have much experience in programming for RS bots. Most of my programming has to do with ASP and databases. But in my experience with the two languages, .NET has so much more to offer.

    VB.net for sure.
It's the easiest and most simplest out of VB6 and C#.
Especially since you don't have any experience.

I agree. Java and .net. You should use Eclipse or Netbeans as your IDE as they're one of the most common ones. I use Netbeans because it runs quicker than Eclipse, in my opinion.
