Ordered a new soundcard. Got an ASUS Xonar STX and Sennheiser 598s, hopefully the sound quality will be a large improvement.

All I have to do now is get all my music in FLAC.

Nice A40's you got there, I have a wireless pair myself.. Any reason in particular you went with wired over wireless?

Interested to hear your opinion on the soundcard once it arrives. I've never bought one before because although I love high quality sound I'm not sure I have the knowledge required to tweak the settings for an optimal experience. (especially since I do both gaming and listening to music) Hell, I drive myself crazy just adjusting my microphone to eek out the best sound from it. Interested to see how it does out of the box/with minimal adjustment in your opinion =p

I'll be sure to post my experiences with it. It's the first soundcard I've gotten.

STX is a fucking fantastic soundcard, onboard just sounds like ass after using it for so long. :] won't be disappointed
