Impostor scammed

Scammers profile link: Film

Explanation of trade: Contacted Film on discord. Had thorough conversation with him because i was new to purchasing osrs gold. As you can see in pictures i had multiple questions which he responded to. MY btc wallets were not working so i asked a buddy to send over the funds. he said he received funds and told me to meet w379 at lumby. once i said i was there he blocked me on discord and all of his chats disappeared as you can see in the pictures it. I wanted to buy 700m but he talked me up to 800m so i could help him out and he could help me. Please report Film as he just scammed me for $400

How they scammed: received payment through cashapp btc then and did not hand over 800m.

I did not request a sythe pm, rookie move. however, my buddy worked with film multiple times.

Hopefully you can notice in this picture that it's a lowercase f and not F. Unfortunately you were scammed by an impostor, which is why it's vital to request a Sythe PM and also double check the UID before trading on Discord.

The Discord UID you posted above 471318430914445342 also doesn't match Film's UID which is 423527431715160084 visible on his profile here: https://i.imgur.com/ZjgG9wW.png


Sorry for your loss, it seems you were impostor scammed. Please go through the following to better protect yourself:

1.) ALWAYS request a sythe PM before every trade to make sure you're talking to the correct person. A correct PM should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/hhosthY.png
2.) Discord Impostors almost always have nitro, which allows them to change their Discord Discrims (#) to copy legitimate users.
3.) Discord names and # can be copied but Discord UIDs can't be! Please always double check this. Go into Discord settings > turn developer mode ON, right click and copy ID. Explained here: [Important] Confirm who you are speaking with on Discord!
