Tried talking to a toxic player...

Just been in a game with a full on toxic player, it was terrible, it all started in the lobby and carried on all the way through the game. At the end of the game i thought i would try to talk to them (Yes i did also report them, and yes i need to start just ignoring all users at the start of a game).





What has gaming become? no matter what the game is there is always someone on your team that seems to be so toxic :/

 

I hate it when people complain about toxic players. I'd much rather an abusive, toxic and ignorant team mate, opposed to some feeding, unskilled player. People need to stop complaining about toxicity. I wish the report button for verbal abuse/harassment was removed.

 

If you can't handle them ignore them, I almost never ignore the toxic players but I don't reply either. I don't ignore them because they might have something useful to say during the game. I also disagree with Sellerman here, I'd much rather see someone dying a few times but keeping the team spirit up instead of a toxic player who will play good himself but make 4 others play horribly bad, because let's be real here, flaming doesn't make you play better, instead, it makes you play worse.

 

In a way i agree with you but quite a lot of the time it puts other people off/makes people AFK.

 

Seller makes an extremely good point here. Sure, i am toxic towards feeders sometimes, as they piss me off, but AT LEAST im not 0/10 making the game IMPOSSIBLE to win, mute me and deal with it.

 

It's when players decide to be toxic towards players, before they've even doomed the game to fail. Everyone makes mistakes and being toxic ruins the game further, you may aswell go AFK once someone decides to flame and shit. Why can't people just provide constructive criticism towards people and make an effort to better them as a team mate rather than thinking you're the worlds best player and that you can carry the team.

Lol, why did you add an toxic player after game? It's pointless and it's even more stupid that you argue with him/her. EVERYONE is toxic and who cares, grow the hell up and keep them ignore. If you lose, just move on and report them aftergame.

 

I just mute some kids or outflame them for luls. I'm never the first to go toxic unless I'm having a really bad day.

Not that I'm the most experienced, but the toxic players usually know what they're talking about. Don't respond, read what they have to say, and maybe you'll actually learn something <3
