Transferring Servers...

Hey guys...
I've been looking around on reddit... But I haven't found the answer I wanted.

I am on server EUNE... But I feel EUW is just a better place to be for me, server wise and English player wise, if I am Diamond 1 on EUNE, what rank would I be placed in EUW. I heard I would be Platinum 1, and would have to climb again from d1 to plat 1.. How is that fair? Can anyone confirm? Anyone transfered from high elo?

Also, when is best time to transfer. Does my mmr transfer?

 

yes u need to climb again , but u'll keep your mmr, so it means u can be placed at plat 1 but playing agains dia1 master and challengers.
