To Anyone Who Uses an XSTATUS Bar...

If you use an XSTATUS bar, you probably know how long the URLs of them can be. For example:

Well, this is a lot of characters to put into a forum sig since you can only have a certain length sig. That URL above is 96 characters, for example.

So, I redid XSTATUS and you can now get URLs like this:

The new links are MUCH shorter, about 30 characters long. (Less than one third of the old ones.)

So, for anyone who is using an XSTATUS bar and does not have the new type of URL, please go to http://xstatus.net and generate a new XSTATUS bar. This will save you a lot of space in sigs and the new bars have some cool upcoming features.

No problem Yakov. I think you're one of my longest lasting users! You've had that bar for a while...

Pretty soon I'm planning on adding a bunch of new features. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.

I'm not sure it would work with *******. Some forums won't embed things as images if they don't end in an image format like .jpg or .gif.

A future feature for XSTATUS in the works:
-Allowing you to use custom backgrounds for the bars!

 

People, I'm talking about XSTATUS, NOT XCLIENT.

XSTATUS is an AIM/MSN status bar for forum sigs. XCLIENT is my RuneScape client.

Update 6/17/07:

I just added the ability to use custom backgrounds for XSTATUS bars. As you can see in my sig, I'm using an image I made instead of the default bar XSTATUS uses.

To get a new bar, go to: http://xstatus.net

Custom backgrounds: MUST BE 350x19 and MUST BE PNGs!

 

It's a user bar which shows your AIM and/or MSN status.

For example, in my sig mine shows if i'm on MSN or not. (It can do the same for AIM.)
