How do i fix it?

OK, i have an Xbox 360 that is almost brand new. the day i got it i got halo 3,
a few weeks later i got Call of Duty 4, and a month or 2 later i got Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and GTA4. My console has had no problems reading any of there discs. Then i stopped playing Rainbow six and GTA4 for a while and mainly played halo and cod4. Now the other day i tried to play GTA4 and rainbow six and my console would not read eather one. i am sure the problem is not scratches because my halo and call of duty have alot more scratches than those 2 games. and my gta4 has 0 scratches on it at all. just to be sure i cleaned both discs with disc cleaning fluid. but they still would not work.Then i bought a can of compressed air and cleaned out all the dust from the console and still no luck.

So, can someone please help me and tell me how i might be able to fix it?

Did you update your 360 data in the time before it stopped working?

 

if u mean like an update that you need b4 u play a game then yes.
if not then no.

 

I think your xbox360 is the probelm, not the games. Send your xbox360 to a repair shop or something mate. Do you have red ring of death?

 

no i dont have the red ring of death. and it costs $100 to get it fixed for disk reading errors so i want to know for sure that that is the problem before i resort to sending it in.

 

Is it reading any discs? If it not it surely a xbox problem call up 1800-4myxbox and they will fix it for you for free.

 

Try cleaning the disks.

NO NO NO NO and NO.

Your 360 is fine, when you don't play a certain game for a certain period of time the 360 will not recognize it. All you have to do is just keep trying insert the disc. Thats what I READ at least.

 

its reading some of my disks just not Gta and rainbow six

 

Any scratches on disks are bad.

 

I'm going to buy a new copy of GTA and hope it works

 

ur having problem that i was having the gta game disc is not good

You should try renting GTA to see if it's your game or the XBOX first unless you don't really care to buy a new one.

 

If you play it vertical it will scratch your disks, play it horizontal.

u got warranty? if so: send it back to microsoft its a error, the first batches of consoles had this error and burned out with red rod.. when you get back buy a xbox cooling fan to plug in power supply of it too...

if u dont got warranty, then itll cost ya..

 

like i said its a fairly new console

 

Bad luck? But ya try cleaning ur disc, and see if another gta will work cause then its the xbox.
