Price checkers?

On the forum i've posted a few price checks and even after bumping a few times very few have actually been checked, does anyone think it would be a good idea for Sythe to take application for people to become price checkers for certain categories, e.g. RuneScape so that price checking can be faster and more efficient?

I think price checking should be completely "voluntary". If you feel like helping someone out you can give them a price check. One thing that causes less interested is the fact that you don't get post count at Price Checks and that it's actually pretty hard to give them the right price.

Having a couple people as price checkers might be nice, but in reality you will close to never get the same amount as that has been price checked. I think the current way is fine.

 

See no point, seems to me like you want some kind of rank, which is on the do not suggest list.

Also price checks don't mean much, it all depends on who's selling the account.

 

I'm not interested in 'ranks' or anything, i'm here to trade, no more. I just thought it might help that section a little.

 

Well right now anyone can post a price check so why make it so you need to fill out a application ect?

 

For exactly that reason, how do you know it's accurate?
Also it means there's people devoted to that section, meaning more people will get there price checks done. ^_^

 

It doesn't matter if it's accurate or not it's not going to effect what people offer for your account. And to be honest it's hard for anyone to be accurate when it comes to price checks as so many things come into play. I see no reason for "official price checkers" just doesn't make sense.

 

A random person's price check is just as accurate as anyone's. Price checks are completely subjective and depend on that particular person's opinion. Therefore having "Official" price checkers would be useless and might discourage others from giving insight on the price check as well.

Unfortunately price checking isn't very active here, but you just have to make due with what you have, and remember to try and give others price checks as well because they are having the same thoughts as you.

the best price check is to look at similair accounts as yours, as others have stated, price checking is completely subjective to ones personal veiws, solely basing a price off what one person says, could end up losing you money.

 

If you want a price, throw it up for sale. Its only worth what people are willing to pay for it
