price of gold will definitely drop, why? because of the amount of gold there is today compared to before ge was introduced.

 

all the people talking about lvl 3 bots with billions stacked up....do you even read?

jagex announced that they will be having a mass ban alongside the release of free trade, etc.

some people are just like "no they are just resetting ppl blah blah blah". Thats very frustrating to me cuz jagex said officially that these accs will be mass banned.

thus, all this gp is made obsolete.

Jagex say alot of things that they end up never doing.

 

Gold will drop below $1/M for sure. Currently it costs sellers time to transfer gold, after limits get removed it won't. And we all know that Time = Money, right?

Also it will get easier for everyone to sell their gold thus their will be a lot more gold available.

Also people saying that gold was $3.50/M before the trade limits, that's simply not relevant, it's 2011 now, not 2007.

The amount of gold that has been gain in the game from 2007 to 2011 is a lot more. People didn't have 500m so easily as they can now, so the prices will drop. It was rare to see someone have 500m in 2007, now its like everyone has 300-800m easily.

 

You guys/gals are all fools. More people will be buying, but alot more will be selling. Everyone will want to make IRL cash for RS GPs. Prices will slowly go down.

Don't overlook the fact that MORE AND MORE people will be buying, but MORE AND MORE AND MORE people will be selling to make a buck.

That is true, however, 1m before the trade limit was worth more in proportion to the shit you could buy.

 

Back then, 50M was a ton, now everyone and their smurfs has 50M on their account.

More supply= price will go down.

 

Everyone with their pures, skillers etc that they don't play anymore will just want to get rid of that money or transfer and concentrate it on their mains. People that have quit rs and moved on might come back, sell for some quick cash. The demand and supply will both increase but for buyers they want the most for their buck. Many sellers will have to compete with each other and prices will go down to 50cents/mil. It will NOT rise at all. Buying gold right now with the free trade is such a hassle as it often involves gold farming or complicated/unknown transfer methods which buyers may not feel safe about. With free trade it's just as simple as trading in-game or staking in duel arena. If something becomes easier to do why would they charge more?

 

I think it'll go down to .50-.70 per mill.
Right now, big GP sellers buy their own GP for around that price.
They have their own transfer method and buy GP off people, transferring it to their accounts themselves.
Without this trade limit, the people selling to bulk buyers also have a choice of selling thier mills to others, for a lower price.

 

pretty sure it will go up. its just supply and demand, and im pretty sure there are a lot more people buying than selling RSGP.

 

People seem to be ignoring a basic economic fact.

Yes, there will be more GP in the game, but I expect demand to keep pace with supply. Maybe for a few weeks after FT is released the price will drop, but I think it will balance out over time.

I probably won't starting selling off any gold until I see the price even out a bit.

 

There's only one way to find out what will happen.....

Someone selling 50m won't change the price mills are being sold at. It all depends on what gold sites and what people like R2 will sell for
