Trade Limit is being lifted - Discuss GP Prices

In my opinion the runescape community is larger than before so there "IS" more demand for RSGP, and with the free trade coming back the demand will rise as people will want to buy gold quickly.

Yes people pay for the method but the majority of people dont want to wait therefore it stops them from purchasing the gold.

My guess is gold will go up to $:4 USD for about a month or so then it will level out.

Note: the prices of items are going to rise dramatically as there is billions of RSGP stored on level 3s.

 

if it goes up to $4 per Mil, ill sell every gp on all my accounts lol... i very much doubt this will happen.

like you stated, its only high price now because of the time and effort it takes to transfer.

after free trade is back, you will be able to transfer 500m in less then 30 seconds. so i can not see how it can possibly rise that much tbh.

i understand that the demand will be greater, but still not enough to reach that price.

 

GP will lower due to the amount of botters out there in runescape.
Reason why GP was about $3-10 before limit was there was barely
any botters. Now a days, everyone bots.

 

Whoa some people are blind, dont you see the number of people with huge piles of cash these days? Its because of botting, and the intense amount of cash being injected into the game by monster kills such as god wars and all those other ones and also mini games. More and more people can afford the best gear in the game which seems kind of stupid because it should be harder to get. The prices of gold will drop dramatically unless jagex does something about RWT or something like a Game shop where you have to pay to get premium gear or outfits what ever the gold prices will stay down.
There will never be more buyers then sellers thats the way i see it.

 

Everyone has botted cash piles. Therefore, everyone will try to sell their gold. Supply most likely will outweigh demand, which makes the price of gold drop.

What makes people thing the gold will be more expensive? Surely, with all these easy ways to make millions it should be easier to get and therefore easier to sell, and easier to buy?

Plus, botting has come along way.

 

I personally think that it will rise... why? Because people won't be so insecure about letting people on their account, because they wont have to!
they meet someone in-game, trade some money, and its done, no waiting.

gold is easier to make now, but there is also A L O T more players out there to buy it.

 

Been RWT'ing since 2003. Safe to say prices will drop just due to ability to quite literally Trade Freely. anybody who has been on scape in the last atleast year will of seen all the botters from larger companies. With literally billions stocked up.

They then have to compete with people like us. as now u don't need random people accessing your account, people like our selves will be able to sell and buy freely without needing to own a large company or have a million vouches.

TLDR :

Gold prices will drop at first, when the small fish get out the business and go dry gold prices will rise again atleast for bulk buying.

 

This is great and all, but don't you all think Jagex is expecting a rise in RWT? They have most likely implemented something new to their system. If I was them, I would find it odd that the level 3 wearing green pants is giving away 100M. How do you plan to trade the gold without making it seem like RWT?

 

I'm hoping prices will drop so I can get my 140m for turmoil cheap, I don't wanna spend $1.6 for that much >.<

Has anyone thought that they will quite obviously be watching trade screens solidly for the first few days possibly weeks after the update. And ban most of thse action....

X-fer will probably be done via wildy/staking since they can't really convict on the basis of you winning a 200M stake.

 

Judging by current prices compared to old prices, I'd say the prices will NOT be like the old prices of $3/mill just for the fact that phats are now 500m opposed to the 100m purples use to be. Therefore you're saying somebody would pay $1500-$2000 for a purple phat. Just no.

 

2-4$ or more, many botters will be banned.
