I laughed so hard at your point its crazy! we are not supose to use bots because it breaks runescape agreements what does that mean? your argument is 100% flawed they can come on this site whenever and wherever (if they have internet) they want.

back on topic i think it will be around 1$/m because people can amke 300m/d staking no problem especially with phat stakes

This would be a great time to invest in RS gold. Buy it at .80 per mill once the limit is lifted then wait it out for a bit and you will be able to sell it at 3.50 once again :) almost guarantee it. Demand will begin to raise once people see they can get gold instantly! Think about it.

I just remember the gold prices being $3-$4 also before they got rid of wilderness+free trade in 2007. I don't understand why the prices have gone down drastically and why there at $1-2 right now it confuses me.

But I thought the prices would decrease as the transfer methods would be much more easier and gold would be more accessible to players. Also wouldn't the time and duration the gold orders and delivery take be another factor contributing to the price? it would take for the orders in a free trade economy maybe a couple minutes to hrs to deliver to the customer, whilst in the current system it takes hrs to days or so to transfer or farm.

But I heard someone was was discussing something about the supply of gold being decreased if we have an free trade economy additionally combined with the wilderness system. I heard most of the gold is generated through pvp or something.
But yeah also if they have a free trade system the demand of gold is going to skyrocket as hordes of people are going to rush for buying gold maybe thats why the prices are going to increase to $3-4. Im assuming in 2007 when the free trade system was still existent , gold demand was really high.
Many players would start buying gold Because it would be a much safer sytem after all and the gold sellers wouldnt need to access the buyers account comprising their account.

As a regular gold buyer, I just hope the prices are going to be stable and low wishing its going to hit like 50c/a mil or something :p then it would be brilliant!!!

It was because runescape is not as enjoyable for most people now as when it was when there were no limits. I have sold alot of runescape classic and rs2 mills. Some people are staking / pking addicted and will keep buying :p

I sure hope gold doesn't rise in price. $3.5 is ridiculous and is the reason why I never bought gold years ago.

    Someone trying to get ahead?
I believe dragon bones will go up, because of the amount of bots will be less from wildy green drags.
    Runes are unpredictibale imo.
Planks wont do much, becuase they will still be used for construction.

Price will drop, cuz players can obtain gold much easier than in 2007. In first few weeks, gold price will be around 1$/m, maybe lower, then will rise to 1,5/2$ per milion or maybe will stay at 1$/m (i hope so:) )

    gold prices will fall

there is faaaar more gold in the game now than there was 3 years ago

lootshare has probly bought in trillions of gold

prices for items like coal iron logs and fish will probly stay roughly the same due to bots

but harder to get items like furys bandos stuff like that will rise

Before it was 3.5$ per mill, back then just 50m was ALOT of gp, now there's thousands of bots with 50-100m just sitting on accounts because not everybody knows good xfer'ing methods (without a method gold is worthless) now ANYBODY can sell mills. G.E has brought billions of gp into the game, a single buyout can bring in 5billion if your wealthy, the rich become richer and only rich players sell mills.

Mills will drop drastically probably to around 50-80c per mill.

Before trade limit, gold prices were ~$3/mil because things were cheaper. Fury wasn't 15m it was 3m, and rangers were 1.5m not 15m. And the influx of money contained within the game is much higher than before, and the amount of total GP is MUCH higher. As with any economy producing currency with a VERY slow rate at which it is lost, simply exemplified by the essentially unlimited raw materials such as ores, fish, logs, etc going in vs. the amount of logs burned, food eaten, etc, the total amount of GP has increased exponentially. Therefore, the GP prices should fluctuate down once trade restrictions are removed. There is a lot of stored GP within the game and accounts in general, with a lack of trading. In a comparison of supply and demand economics, its not the demand of GP that will suddenly increase, but the demand of trading GP, while the supply of GP increases, therefore driving the price of GP down.

I'm guessing prices are going to fall drastically. Currently the 1.6/mill price is at least 50% for the transfer. After the arrival of FT we won't have to pay for that.

I'm guessing between 0.50-1.00 depending on the reliability of the seller.

There's way too much gold now to go for 3.5-4/mill.

How would lootshare bring in any gold? Lootshare is a money-sink.

    Example:
You get a armadyl hilt drop.
Runescape sells that hilt on the ge for mid price
You get a stack of cash, when added together, equals min price.

The difference of the price is removed from the game.

The price will drop dramatically; but God only knows what measures Fagex will implement to catch RWT; I.E. Checking IP's, past contact with the player, etc, etc.

It'll drop right away with all the sellers.

But after that, I think it will come back up to ~$2/m. Probably a little less.

We will just have to wait and see :p
