Featured Threads

What are featured threads? Are you tired of having to bump your threads up ALL the time? Do you just want your thread to always be at the top of the page, say...stickied? Would you be willing to pay cash/RS GP for this?

For example, John is selling an account. John makes a thread.

John then requests for his thread to be featured. Of course, John pays a fee for his thread to be featured.

Matthew, an Administrator, stickies the thread, so that it can be viewed by everybody.

So, it could go something like this:

Featured Ad for 1 day - 1M RuneScape GP/$3 USD
Featured Ad for 3 days - 2M RuneScape GP/$6 USD

And so on...

Or, a new forum called "Featured Ads" can be made, and all the featured threads can be stickied there.

Using this idea, Sythe.org will make more money.

 

No, users can't pay for special privileges. Bumping is against the rules.

Town, I'm not saying users could pay for the ability to "sticky" their topics.

What I'm basically saying, is that users will PAY RSGP/USD for their threads to be "stickied" for a short amount of time.

Yes, that is correct. Not stickied forever though, otherwise the forum will be filled with stickied threads. Stickied for a short amount of time, say about 1-3 days.

Yes, that is correct. However, the person that wants his/her thread to be stickied, will pay a fee.

 

I disagree completley.

What happends with the people that chooses not to pay a fee for getting their thread stickyfied? Their threads will go to like the 2nd page depending on how many threads that is stickied (sp?).

And featured ads...think big. What if... like lets say 15-25 people would actually use it, some of those people would get their thread posted on page 2+
