    I need some computer technical support! My sound isn't working, and everything I've tried has failed!

    I will be willing to pay the person 5M as long as they actually fix the problem. You will be paid after you fix the sound. This should be simple, but I'm a noob.

    Check that the cables are plugged in the right spot, you don't have headphones plugged in or anything like that, you're volume on your keyboard is turned up and the volume on your monitor is turned up as well as on the taskbar.

    If none of those work, then it may be broken.

    Saying it's broken won't help. If you can give some more detail it would help. You might need to download new drivers otherwise it could be physical.

    Alright, basically all I know is that when I mouse over the sound button in my system tray it gives me a "No audio device is installed" error. I've tried everything I know and I can't get it to work, so I'd appreciated it if you could get it to work somehow.

    It can be related to your microphone sensitivity setting, if you are not using the push to talk button and the sensitivity is not set properly it can register parts of your discussion only or if your voice break up when moving the microphone wire, there is an high possibility that your wire is broken and a new microphone is needed.

    Okay, I will when I get home and have some time. I'm not the most familiar with vista, but with a few minutes I'm sure I can figure something out.
