Why are people not allowed to recieve vouches for hard earned GFX?

Its the same as runescape leveling.

Although making graphics may take time, vouches are supposed to represent the trustworthiness of a user. Creating graphics doesn't require putting someone else's possessions in your hands, so it's different from leveling or trading rsgp because those things involve risk.

i think they should have a seperate thread for GFX designers called "feedback" for satisfied customers who like what they got or people to place negative feedback etc.. i dont think a vouch is deserved though there is no risk involved in making gfx besides maybe getting charged back if you use paypal as a option for payment other than that theres no real reason for people to vouch as its a trust system, well that my thoughts anyways :)

That makes no sense.

When you buy RSGP from someone you trade them money in exchange for RSGP. When you buy GFX from someone you trade them money in exchange for a signature/etc.

It's the same basic concept.

It's not much of a problem when the GFX artists usually give a sample of the work they've done before the person pay's.

There's minimal risk factor, and completing Graphics for other users doesn't really build up any trust nor does it entitle them to a vouch. Just leave feedback in their GFX Sales thread...

This has been discussed and denied countless times before... it's not going to happen.

I was just asking why, I understand now thanks every one for clearing it up =)

I like the Idea of a feedback "Vouch" thread.

For GFX work, there should be a "feedback" thread rather than a vouch thread. A vouch is only given for trustworthiness but GFX is given for its hard work. That is the difference between them both.

No risk involved, just time..

And even if you make one, and someone backs out.. just delete their name, put a "SAMPLE" watermark in the backround.. and save it as a template for another sale.

Really no risk involved, and your not really trusting anyone, or gaining trust just by making some art work for people.

GFX > Vouches?

verb /vouCH/
vouched, past participle; vouched, past tense; vouches, 3rd person singular present; vouching, present participle

Assert or confirm as a result of one's own experience that something is true or accurately so described
- they say New York is the city that never sleeps, and I can certainly vouch for that

Confirm that someone is who they say they are or that they are of good character
- he was refused entrance until someone could vouch for him

Vouches are given out often enough, for pointless things.

I'd like to bring to your attention that in the definition of a vouch it states: "Confirm that someone is who they say they are or that they are of good character" - therefore by saying so, vouching for GFX would mean your "confirming that the artist is who they say they are (proving their experience and they're who they are)"

Therefore, I support this and always will.

A GFX is just a GFX, if you stole it from someone, you're not gaining anything of value. Where as a RS account, you're taking something of value.

If you went to a site geared towards GFX, they would think the GFX would be worth something where as RS isn't.

Yer that was my thought, its so easy to rip some ones work, as if you were to steal a rs account it can always be recoverd un like a peace of GFX work.

So you're saying, GFX isn't worth anything, and RS is?

People MAJOR in Graphic Design (which college is what; $45k+?) - therefore it's worth more than a silly virtual account.

Someone's vouches are basically the same thing as the GFX artist's pastwork. Both could be real or fake. So I don't understand your argument..

If GFX doesn't have any value, then why do some users pay for them? And I don't understand what you're saying about the site thing; this site is geared towards both. It has a GFX section, as well as a Runescape section.

Graphics can be ripped, and stolen.
You can claim it to be yours, and it won't be yours.

Yes, I see your point in exchanging gp/$ for a graphic, but still.
I'll google a graphic, put your name on it somewhere, then expect 10m for "epicness"

IMO, they should deserve a vouch, depending on what type of work they had done.
