To those who say RS2007 isn't going to be the same

Sure, all of your old friends who used to play with you won't be around anymore (unless you are one of those lucky ones who know people who are returning); we have to keep in mind that the power of nostalgia will always prevail. I'm not even playing at the moment nor do I have an account (too many real life responsibilities), but believe me, once I am done with this year of school - and with all the extra free time I have, I'm going to kick back and play some RS2007, and I'm sure there will be a ton of other people as well, more than we even have now.

Anyone else miss gathering a PK team full of fire blasters and rushing hill giants to fight rangers in green dragon hide? Anyone else miss luring people for their full rune armor as a pure? Anyone else miss looting F2P wars and running back to lumbridge with a full inventory of rune armour? Even if there isn't many high levels or cash/items circulating in the game right now, there is still a ton of fun to be had. It won't entirely be the same, but it sure as heck will be a lot similar to the old school old days.

Kick back and let the economy develop, let people level up (for PK'ing, staking, PvM'ing) - and watch as RS2007 overflows within you.

This Exactly. Some might not feel the nostalgia or like it was before BUT, if you do not do i don't see the point in making a bunch of threads saying that and killing it for the people who actually like this server. Way too many Negative People.

 

There wont even be any f2p servers...

 

In the Q&A someone suggested F2P like servers where you only have access to the F2P stuff but you still have to be a member to play in it. If you get what i mean, and they said that its something they can do.


OT; It won't be the same, lets be realistic, but it will still be good none the less.

It is amazing indeed, I will play this until I'm a level 126, NOT because of nostalgia... because of how fun this isss.

I haven't even checked out RS3 since 2007 came out.

 

I don't see how we're going to make up 8 years of developped economy--- trading will never be the same. Not to mention, jagex isn't prohibiting the purchase of 07 items for EOC RSGP. That will pollute the economy eventually. People who are huge in EOC will have an incredible leg-up in the 07 worlds. I'm not letting it get me down though, it is what it is, and I'm enjoying the game so far so w/e

 

The fact that there will be no F2P economy is going to be bad, maybe they should make it that if you're p2p for 3 months or more then you should get f2p access for free.

 

I agree with what Moh said, but I am also enjoying the game and it is what it is. We have the future of 07 scape now.

 

Yes the economy is horrible. Yes the first whip will sell for an insane amount. No we cannot guarantee the success. But at the end of the day, so many people find it enjoyable. I know a couple of my friends who started in 10-11 and they prefer 07scape. So whilst it has a chance of survival (i.e. 500k votes), I'm 100% on board and in this bandwagon.
