RS Selling Gold!

Meant to put RS is encouraging RWTing. Not thinking properly.

Anyway, I found it odd when I saw this advert while loading RS.

 

Probably a website owned by Jagex...

All extra cash is welcome for them.

 

Adverts on any website are based on your browsing history and what you click on, and they relate to that.

I have a Web Hosting advert at the bottom of my page on Sythe. Purely due to going on Forums.

 

That would be hilarious, if Jagex actually would sell RS Gold for money lol.

 

So you're saying that the ad someone posted about some sex guru, which I'm sure more than just him saw, on Sythe was based on his browsing history?

And this barbie ad I get at the bottom of the Sythe page is based on my browsing history? Not to mention I am using incognito browsing, and I doubt my browser can tell by my history.

Have seen RS's old advert where they wanted you to click to win something? adverts along those lines.

 

Actually he IS right. It is about browsing history, and what people search the most for on the interwebz.

 

I do realize some, I don't think all do. I mean I do not search for anything related to barbie in anyway whatsoever. Yet I've seen the ad on sythe more than once.

 

Lets say you google alot of stuff about how to lose weight, in some days you will see alot of adverts of weight lose, it's a system

 

"The Open University" ad is at the bottom of my sythe.
Pretty sure I don't search that.

 

Spot on. Its based on what you search/ what websites you visit.

 

I have on tip to not worry about your advertisements: Adblock.

Yes it's by browsing history / searches on google and keywords / tags on the site you're visiting.

 

Just add ad-block to chrome or whatever browser you use and never see ads again lol
